Dialoog met mijn russisch bruidje (2)

Vervolg van gisteren ! Goed. Waar waren we ? Svetlanaatje had zich net voorgesteld, inclusief gewicht, lengte, studie en familiesamenstelling, en na de eerste mail met één foto nu twéé foto’s meegestuurd.
Ik mailde het meiske ook maar eens uitgebreid terug dan. Ben tenminste netjes opgevoed, als iemand zo lief is veel info over zichzelf te geven, dan doe ik dat ook. Dus mensen die mijn PINcode willen weten, mail die van u, ge hebt káns dat ik de mijne terugstuur.
Enfin. Mijn beste en liefste poging om de jongedame af te wimpelen volgt hieronder.

I don’t doubt that they will – you’re a beautiful girl, and the interests you listed make for an interesting young woman. I’m sorry to say, however, that I don’t see anything happening between us because of the distance. Unless, of course, you don’t mind being a pen pal and enjoy just writing emails. Svetlanaatje gaf het echter niet zomaar zonder meer op. Ik was duidelijk een zeer waardevolle vangst voor dit fraaie schepsel. Poef, viel het volgende in de mailbox:

Ze gaat nogal hard, niet ? Aan het begin van de mail ben ik nog een friend, aan het eind is ze al mijn girlfriend. En dan de attachments… Niet één, niet twéé, maar drié fotootjes. En het begon op te vallen dat ’t toch eigenlijk best professionele fotootjes waren. Niet gewoon iets dat goede vriendinnen van elkaar schieten op een melig middagje uit. Oftewel goede kans dat dat heel die Svetlana niet is. Ja, ik was wat traag van begrip tot dusver. Maar ook ik had nu toch wel door dat dit feitelijk spam was. Ik had echter in de dagen dat dit speelde niet veel te doen – ik zat vast in eerder genoemde roman – dus dacht ik hmm… hier kan ik wel wat lol mee hebben. Kijken of ze überhaupt mijn mails wel leest. Ik klom opnieuw in de pen:

Hello my dear sweet Svetlana, thank you for your sweet email below. It really cheered up my day. We’ve had bad weather here today and it gets depressing looking outside and feeling away from everyone you know. It gets really lonely being here, knowing I can’t go back to the Netherlands unless I want to risk jail time. And to not be able to let my friends and family know where I am. So it is good to hear from you today, thank you !
I’m very happy to receive your photos as well. You really are a gorgeous young woman. And the city you’re in looks beautiful ! I must admit I’ve never heard of Dima Bilan, Fabrika – what is their music like ?
My working day is almost over now, I’m leaving a few hours earlier because I’ve put in a lot of overtime earlier this week. I’m happy to go home but it’s definately lonely at home, I don’t go out much because I don’t want to risk anyone identifying me. So I read a lot, watch TV or listen to the radio, and sometimes I clean my gun to make sure it will work when I need it. Then I eat some very quick and easy meal and have some wine, and I usually go to bed early to sleep.
